Slow Cooker Chicken Philly Cheese Steaks



This Slow Cooker Chicken Philly Cheese Steak recipe offers all the flavors of the classic sandwich with the convenience of a slow cooker. Tender chicken, sautéed vegetables, and melted cheese combine for a delicious meal.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 2 green bell peppers, thinly sliced
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 hoagie rolls
  • 6 slices provolone cheese

Instructions:

The slow cooker should have garlic, mushrooms, onion, bell peppers, and chicken in it

Put chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a small bowl

Add the sauce to the chicken and vegetables

Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours, until the chicken is soft

Warm up the broiler in the oven

Put the split hoagie rolls on a baking sheet

Add the chicken and vegetable mix to each roll, and then put a slice of provolone cheese on top

Place the dish under the broiler and melt the cheese
