The juicy beef patties, crispy bacon, and sweet grilled onions in these smash steak burgers give them a really great taste. They're great for a barbecue in the backyard or a casual dinner during the week.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef chuck
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of bacon
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 4 hamburger buns
Instructions:
Preheat your grill to high heat
Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and form them into patties
Season the patties generously with salt and pepper
Place the bacon slices on the grill and cook until crispy, then remove and set aside
In the meantime, place the sliced onions on the grill and cook until softened and slightly charred, then remove and set aside
Place the beef patties on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side for medium-rare
Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for about 1 minute
Assemble the burgers by placing a beef patty on the bottom bun, followed by a slice of bacon and a handful of grilled onions
Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately
